Peerlift is a non-profit organization that connect students to educational opportunities. This platform allows anyone to create a small scholarship and help fund a student’s education without needing to have a lot of money or worry about large management fees.
Your security and privacy are very important to us. All credit card transactions are processed via Stripe, a reliable third-party payment system. Your financial information is never stored on Peerlift’s servers.
Peerlift is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization entirely run by volunteers. We charge a flat-rate service fee for every microscholarship set up to help cover operating expenses, grow the Peerlift platform, and help more students.
Peerlift will first be launched at Stanford, but it will soon be launched to other schools across the country. We hope to eventually offer the service to every student in the country and beyond.
Yes! Peerlift is an officially recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donation is tax-deductible.
[We want to eliminate barriers of entry, making it easy for anyone to create a scholarship and any student to apply.] You only need $100 to create a scholarship, and there is a $1,500 cap. If you’d like to donate more than $1,500, set up multiple scholarships! It’s very easy, and you’ll help sponsor more students.
There are smaller incidental college expenses; such as books, laundry, and room supplies; often not covered by financial aid that quickly add up and can turn into big financial burdens for students. These microscholarships help students cover those expenses that financial aid doesn’t.
Yes! You don’t have to be an established philanthropist or years of nonprofit experience. With Peerlift, all you need is a desire to give and make an impact on a student’s collegiate career. On Peerlift, we make making and applying to scholarships easier than ever before.
